Dentistry in the Heart of Old Town Tacoma
Dr. Nicole Ancich has practiced at 2208 N 30th Street, Suite 201, since 2005. The office sits in the Old Town business district, a few blocks up from the water, with a view of Commencement Bay from the treatment rooms.
Most of our patients live within a few miles of the office. A fair number drive considerably farther than that, which we take as the highest compliment a dental practice can get.
This page covers the practical things: where to park, how to find the suite, what we treat, and who we serve. If you would rather just book, use the button below or call (253) 383-5636.
Why Old Town Patients Stay
Twenty years in one neighborhood produces a particular kind of practice. The team does not turn over. When you come in, you are seen by people who already know your history: Kris and Jackie in the operatory, Yazmin and Barb on hygiene, Andrea at the front desk.
The practice is deliberately small. Dr. Ancich sees her own patients rather than handing them between associates, and appointments are scheduled with enough room that nobody gets rushed through. That is the most common theme in our patient reviews, and it is why people stay for a decade or more.
We also work comprehensively, which means looking at how your teeth, jaw, and airway function together instead of treating each problem in isolation.
Professional, systematic, sensitive dentist with an efficient, energetic team that makes dental care effective and pleasant. State-of-the-art technology and a terrific view of Commencement Bay.

Dental Services We Provide in Old Town
We handle general, cosmetic, restorative, and airway dentistry in one place, which means fewer referrals out and fewer trips across town.
General and Preventive Care
Comprehensive exams, cleanings, fillings, and periodontal assessment and gum disease treatment. This is the foundation, and it is where most new patients start.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Porcelain veneers, professional whitening with Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed, and composite bonding for chips, cracks, and small gaps.
Restorative Dentistry
Crowns, fixed bridges, and implant restorations to rebuild function and appearance after damage or tooth loss.
Airway and Sleep Dentistry
Oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea as an alternative to CPAP, and treatment for TMJ and TMD pain. Breathe clearer and sleep better.
A Neighborhood Practice, Not a Chain
Dr. Ancich grew up in Tacoma and graduated from Bellarmine Preparatory School. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Arizona and her Doctor of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, then opened her private practice here in 2005.
She has been involved with Spear Education since 2005 and is a Spear Faculty Club Elite member. Since 2017 she has pursued airway and breathing education through The Breathe Institute. That ongoing training is the reason this office offers functional and airway-focused care that most general practices do not.
The practice is independently owned. Treatment recommendations come from Dr. Ancich and nobody else.
Serving Old Town and North Tacoma

If you are new to the area and looking for a dentist in North Tacoma, we are accepting new patients.
Common Questions
Where do I park?

Are you accepting new patients?
Yes. You can request an appointment using the button on this page, or call the office at (253) 383-5636.
Do you take dental insurance?
Yes, we accept dental insurance. Plans vary considerably, so call the office at (253) 383-5636 with your carrier and plan details and we will confirm your coverage before your visit.
Do you offer Invisalign?
No. We do not provide Invisalign or other clear aligner orthodontics, and we are happy to refer you to a local orthodontist. If your concern is cosmetic rather than orthodontic, porcelain veneers and composite bonding are often a good fit.

Do you treat sleep apnea and TMJ?
Yes. We offer oral appliance therapy as a CPAP alternative for appropriate patients, and we treat TMJ and TMD pain. Dr. Ancich has pursued airway education through The Breathe Institute since 2017.
